The advisor to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Serhiy Leshchenko, denied Russian media reports about alleged shelling of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. One of the fake statements made by the Russian media is that Ukraine launched ‘Switchblades’ drones to hit the spent nuclear fuel storage facility. The purpose of such reports is to shift responsibility to Ukraine for acts committed by Russia, Leshchenko noted. The speaker also said that Russian propagandists spread misinformation about the alleged presence of U.S. biological laboratories on Ukrainian territory. Even Russian government chemists and biologists have previously refuted this fake. Russia continues to attribute to itself victories on the battlefield that in fact did not exist. Thus, Russian media report false victories over the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the failed offensive of Ukrainian troops. Such statements make it possible to create a request in the Russian media space to continue combat operations in Ukraine, stressed the advisor to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine.
